JOHN T. LEECH RECITAL

I Next Wednesday, at the Burns Hall, ' the students of Mr John T. Leech will present a song recital. The Lyric Choir will appear in ancient and modern madrigals. Tho madrigal is the most difficult form of part singing, and carries an irresistible charm of interwoven melodies. Patrons will have an opportunity of hearing that great ensemble number, tho sextet from the opera ‘Lucia 'do Lammermoor,’ by Donizetti. Tho alluring and inspiring attractions of this wonderful arrangement leave the main theme for ever surging in the mind. The vocalists associated with the textet are Miss Vakha (L M'Curdy (soprano), Miss Stuart Mitchell (contralto), Mr Walter Mitchell (baritone), Messrs Arnold Pciry and James Simpson (tenors), .•ml Mr W. A. Hilliker (basso). Mr John Leech will sing a duet with Mr L. A. North (obbligato for violin by _ Miss Eva Judd). Miss Muriel Caddie and Miss Judd will con tribute an instrumental duet. Tho accompanists are Mr Leonard S. James and Miss Eva Fountain. The plan is open as advertised.
