LONDON. September 11. (Received September 12, at 10.40 a.m.) Dr George Browne is finding £15,000 to purchase and endow Darwin’s home. Darwin paid £2,200 for the house.— Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
[A previous message stated: As a result of Sir Arthur Keith’s presidential address to the Science Congress, Dr George Browne, a London surgeon, has offered to purchase Darwin’s homo for presentation to tho nation. Tho British Association lias gratefully accepted the offer.]
