Wheat cargoes, in sympathy with closing American quotations, were occasionally easier and inactive. Parcels were in poor request, and unchanged. Liverpool futures: October, 10s 8d; December, 10s 9fd; March, 10s 9d; May, ]os 7d. Spot trade was slow. Australian, ex store, 465. Flour was dull. Australian, ex store, 40s 6d. Oats were steady. ‘ Australian, Algerian, 27s to 28s; A grade Gartons, 29s to 30s. Peas: Blue were in poor demand. Tasmanian, 320 s to 3COs; New Zealand, 320 s to 3405. Maples wore dull. Tasmanian, 9os to 97s 6d; New Zealand, 90s to J)2s 6d. New Zealand beans, 46s to 475. BUTTER AND CHEESE. LONDON, September 8. Butter was firm, but quiet, after .active trading early in the week.
