Ft SIDES ADJOURNMENT GRANTED The charge of perjury (two informations) against George Macartney, a constable in the police force, was mentioned in the Police Court this morning. Tho charges arose out of evidence given in the Supremo Court during the hearing of the Lockett case. •An application was made on behalf of Mr Hanlon for' a further adjournment of one week. Chicf-dctectivo Cameron said that some of tho Crown witnesses wore out of town, so tho police would raise no objection to an adjournment. The case was accordingly adjourned till the 21st inst.
