500 GUINEAS FOR RAM. [Per United Press Association.] MASTERTON ; January 13. It was reported 1 this evening that Mr W. R. Glasson, president of the Australian Longwool Sheepbreeders’ Association, purchased this afternoon from Mr R. W. Matthews, Lower Valley, a four-tooth ram of the Waiorongomai strain for 500 gs, which is a dominion record price for a single sheep of any breed. DAIRY PRODUCE GRADED. [Peh United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 13. For the month of December the Dairy Department graded 1,629 tons of butter, of which 454 were unsalted, compared with 1,095 tons for December, 1925. For the past five months tho total was 35,615 tons, compared with 32,782 tons for the corresponding period last year. The cheese graded for December totalled 12,875 tons, compared with 12,982 tons for tho previous December, and for the past five months the total wm 33,839 ions, compared with 33,473 tons for tho corresponding period of last year.
