At tbe annual meeting of the society at Christchurch last years officers were reelected, with the addition or the Prime Minister (the Hon. W. F. Massey) as one of the vice-patrons. _ _ Of 37 applications received i>2, were considered worthv of recognition. The report regretted that the assistance from the ; public was not more liberal.
