(Received July 19, at 8.25 a.m.) The Port of London Authority have arranged to increase the cold storage facilities of the port to accommodate a total of 1,100,000 carcasses. The scheme will enable a further quarter-million carcasses to be stored at tho Albert Docks, where the additional arrangements provide for discharge direct from the ships' holds into insulated sorting sheds, thus avoiding undue handling, while the exposure of the meat to a high temperature during discharge will be reduced to a minimum.
