The Otago Education Board's monthly meeting was continued this morning, tho Hon. T. Fergus presiding. Ryan (transferred). —General. — The Tokomaiiiro Committee asked that the application made to the department for a grant for two additional rooms for technical purposes be renewed. —Accordingly. The architect reported damage through leakages at High Street School, and asked for authority to effect repairs, which was granted. Ih© architect reported that he found the necessary alterations to the gymnasium building at the School of Art woidd cost at least £2oo.—The expendituro was approved, application to he made to the department. —Transfer of Probationers.— ; The Chiof Inspector recommended the following transfers of probationers: —Ellis C. Mathieson, from Oamaru Middle to Benhar, and Stewart Gibb from Duntroon to Oamaru Middle. These transfers were confirmed.
