The committee recommended the registration of the Otago Hunt Club, but declined the application of the FoTtrose Hack Racing Club. ~ Mr Abbott made an appeal for consideration of an application by tho Wellington club for permission to race on October 26 and 28, instead of October 23 and 26, as re-commended bv tho committee. He moved that October 26 and 28 be granted to Wellington, and this amendment was carried !>v"2i to 11. The report of the Special Committee, affirming the advisability of assisting re-.-'o-'ir.sed 'htint clubs, was adopted on the understanding that the Dominion be _divided into districts, the racing clubs within which should contribute to the support of the local hunt clubs. The- president said that already the racing clubs were assisting the hunt chins to the extent of £I,BOO a vear. The conference are now dkcussing the Question of stipendiary stewards.
