Last Saturday' night Mrs Seddon, of tho Comet store at Rotorna, nwhed put of tier bedroom In .her night-dress, Her husband made enefgetio search, and, alarmed at not finding her, oalled in the, assistance of the police, who, aid : by several residents, kept the searoh up all night, without success. Early yesterday morning some Natives lent a hand; and one of them reported seeing a considerable amount of fatty matter -Soating ion the surface of the hot springs near Mrs Morrison's bath-house. Constable "Abrahams procuring a long pole with a hook succeeded after several futile attempts in hooking somethiug, which, on being hauled to the surface, left no doubt as to what it was. The body presented a horrible sight, being partly cooked. Both hands were clenched and full of particles torn from the breast in the agony of death. The body had -lest a third of its original size. Deceased bid shown symptoms lately of being mentally affected. One of her sisters is an inmate of a lunatic asylum.
