FUNERAL OF DR. HULME.
The remains of the late Dr. Hulme, Pro vincial Surgeon, were interred in the Northern Cemetery this afternoon. The cortege left the deceased's house shortly after 3 o'clock, the principal mourners being Mr Hart (the doctor's nephew), Mr E B. Cargill, Mr J. Cargill, Sir J. L. C. Richard, son, Mr H. S. Chapman, Dr. Yates, and Mr G. W. Eliott. The Hospital and Gaol, with both of which institutions the deceased was connected, were fully represented ; while the following members of the Medical Association were present:—Doctors Alexander, Brown, Batchelor, Borrows, Hocken, Murphy, Gillies, and Ferguson. Amongst those who were present, in addition to the above, we noticed Beveral members of the clergy and of the legal profession, the Hon. G. M'Lean, Mr Strode, R.M., Mr Maitland, R.M., Professors Shand and M'Gregor, &c. There was not a large attendance of the general public.
