VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.

N. D. RULES. The North Dunedin Kifles fired at their own butts this morning for the trophy presented by Mr Kohn. The morning was anything but favorable for shooting, alternate showers and gusts of wind prevailing throughout, trying both the powers and the shill of the shoetists. The conditions of this trophy are that it shall be won twice before it becomes the absolute property of any one. Five different members of the company have won it, which shows the equality of the shooting powers of the company. The scores this morning were :

COLONIAL PRIZE-STRING. The second competition of the Port Chalmers Naval Brigade took place at North Dunedin this morning, under the superintendence of Lients. Wilson and Muir. P. O. Jamieson fired through with them in both competitions, becanse he had his hand hurt, which prevented his shooting with his own company.
