Time, 3min. 35soc. THE CHAMPION FACE. Speaking of the Champion Race “ Augur” says the probable starters are Briseis and another from St. Albans, Calamia, Sibyl, Richmond, The Barb, Electricity, Pride of the Hills, and, perhaps, Aldinga, but as one or two of these wilT possibly be knocked out before the day,' the field will not comprise more than half a dozen; yet if The Barb and Richmond are fit and well, it. will be worth a barefooted pilgrimage to Flemington to see these two celebrities meet the best of the three-year-olds. Jellett appears to be giving Richmond a special preparation for this race and so far he is standing his work.
