Maid of Otago, schooner, 50 tons, Bain, for Stewart’s Island. Mary Ogilvie, schooner, 72 tons, Falconer, for Bluff. Alhambra, s s., 590 tons, Muir, for Melbourne via the Bluff. Passengers: For Melbourne—Meadames M’Cormack, Patten, Miss Joyce, Messrs Kneen, G. T. Anderson, J. T. Fisher, G. Henry, Holder, Marks, Hurch, and twenty-seven steerage. ForHobart Town—Mr and Mrs Brook, Mr and Mrs M’Mahon, Misses Saber, Evans, Messrs »W. F. Sargieson and child, F. A. Sargieson. Arthur, and fourteen steerage. For tho Bluff—Mrs Starbuck, Master Kmgswell, Messrs Douglas, Scanlau, Warnock. Taiaroa, s.s., 228 tons, Peterson, for Tima.ru. December 13.—Shag, s.s., 31 tons. Wing, for Shag Point and Moeraki. Zealandia, 1,713 tons, Porris, for San Francisco, via the North. Passengers: For Wellington—Hon. C. C. Bowen. For Nap-er—Messrs Holder, A. R. Emery. For Auckland—Messrs H. Prince, A. Drake, J. Collins. For Kandavau—Mr C. Richardson. For San Francisco—Mr and Mrs Lees and three children. Ethel, brigantine, 180 tons, M‘Leod, for Hobart Town. Tho R.M, steamer Zealandia, with the outward San Praneisco mails, via Northern Ports, took her departure this afternoon. The brigantine Ethel was towed to sea this forenoon by the p.s. Iron Age, and sailed for Hobart Town. The steamers Express for the Bluff, and Taiaroa for Timaru, sailed last evening. The s.s. Shag sailed this morning for Shag Point and Moeraki. The Union Co.’s steamer Hnwen, haring been cleaned and repainted, was taken out of the Grnving Dock this morning. After coaling at the hulk Don Juan, she hauled alongside the railway pier to take iu cargo, and will sail to-morrow afternoon for Northern Porta. The ship Christian M’Ansland was removed from the stream yesterday afternoon and berthed along, side the railway pier. The schooners Maid of Otago for Stewart’s Island, and Mary Ogilvio for the Bluff, sailed yesterday afternoon. A boat which arrived at the Bluff from Stewart’s Island on Saturday brings news of the whaling barque Splendid being in Port William. She Lad been fust to three whales, but lost the whole of them. The barque Waratah, with a full cargo of Tasmanian produce, sailed up to her anchorage off Deborah Bay yesterday morning. Captain Fisher reports leaving Hobart Town on the 2nd inat., with a strong S.E. wind, which shortly after shifted to the westward, and look his departure from Cape Pillar next day; thence had fresh N. and W. winds until the 9th, when it freshened to a heavy northerly gale, and the vessel was hove-to under low maintopsails. The gale moderated next morning, and she passed the Solanders at 2 p.m., and Dog Island at 10 p.m. The wind then shifted to S.S.E. until noon on Monday, when, owing to the thick weather, she waihove-to until next moruing; then, gettinga leading wind, arrived off the Heads yesterday afternoon.
