The Sydney bowling and fielding were splendid. 15,000 spectators were present. Blenheim, December 11. —At ten o’clock last night Paul Bros’, stables at Moorlands, Spring Creek, were burnt down and the’ valuable entire True Briton and some harness destroyed. Conqueror was saved. The origin of the fire is unknown. The loss is L4OO, of which L2OO is covered by insurance in the South British office.

The only case at the Port Chalmers Police Court this morning was a charge of drunkenness preferred against a man named William Lees, who pleaded guilty. After receiving a severe rebuke from the Magistrate he was discharged.
