Commercial.
The amount of revenue received at the Customhouse on goods cleared far consumption this day was L 1,391195. Mr Henry Driver (on behalf of the N.Z.L. and M.A. Co.) reports for the week ending December 6,1876: Fat Cattle.—l7s head were yarded at the sales to-day. Best bullocks brought from Ll2 10s to Ll6; do cows, from L 8 to Lll 10s. or equal to about 32s 6d per 1001b for prime quality. Fat Calves—Ten were yarded, which sold at from 20a to 55s each. Fat Sheep.—About 1,500, principally shorn crossbreds, were penned, which sold at from 12s to 14s each, and a few medium quality in the wool at 14s, or fqual to 2Jd per lb for lb for former, and 3}d for latter. Fat Lambs.—2oo were' penned, and sold at from 7s 6d to 11s 6d. Store Cattle.—A very active demand still continues for well-grown cattle of both sexes, at L 7 10s to L 8 10s for bullocks, and L 5 to L 6 10s for cows, according to size and quality. We shall offer for sale at Mosgiel to-morrow, 300 head, principally quiet, well-grown bullocks, and hope to meet a good market.
