SCARLET FEVER.
To Ike Editor. Sir,—While every precaution is beina taken by the Health Committee and Citv Council to prevent the spread of this dreadful malady, such as forcibly quarantine Mr J. It. fc>. braut, removing Morrissoy's family to the hospital, cautioning the librarian of the Athenaeum respecting books being lent out, dec, &c, they overlook the fact of the Chinese carrying vegetables and other produce from house to house ; and I have even heard of some of them who have scarlet fever following their calling. Would this not be worth tho Board of Health's attention ?—I am, &c., t. ~ >T , Thomas Axlan. Dunedin, November 27.
