(City Council, acting as the Local - Board of Health for 1 City, desire to direct the attention of the Public to the following stringent provisions of the Public Health Act, 1876: Section 28.—When a householder knows that a person within the house occupied by him is taken sick of small pox, cholera, or any other hiyhly infectious disease dangerous to the peop.e, he shall immediately give notice thereof to the Local Board of the District m which he dwells.—Penalty, LlO. Section 31.—Any person who" while suffering from any dangerous infectious disease, wiliuJy exposes himself without proper precautions against spreading the said disorder in any ttreet, public place, shop, car, or public conveyance, or enters any public conveyance without previously notifying to the owner, conductor, or driver thereof that he is so suffering, shall be liable to a penalty not exceedmg 1,5. Section 33; Any person who knowingly let 3 for hire any house, room, or part of a houße, in which any person lus been suffering from dangerous infectious disorder, without having such house, room, or part of a house, and all articles therein liable to retain infection disinfected to the satisfaction of a legally a certificate signed by nim, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding £2O.
