Circumstances which came to light yesterday would indicate that the crew of the cutter Ellie, belonging to Messrs "Wild and Meadows, of this town, have been lost. The Fllie left Stewart's' Island with fish on Friday morning, having three men onboard, John King, Patrick Connell, and another known as Little Ned. The next information received was that Pilot Clare found the liUie stranded inside Point Island, with the mast broken, and other damage sustained Portions of the men's clothing were found strewed about, but otherwise there was no trace of the crew, who it is supposed, must have been lost in attempting to swim ashore. —' Southland .News,' 10th inst.
