Messrs Cargills, Gibbs, and Co., have received the following satisfactory telegram from Helmutb, Pchwartze, and Co., respecting the Wool Sales now in progress in London :

London, November 2.—The sales opened with a large attendance of both Home and foreign buyers. Competition is very animated. Prices for fleeoe, washed and scoured, show au average rise of lid to 2d per lb. Grease show an average rise of Id compared with closing rates of last series. General state of trade is improving, but political affairs unsettled.

Losdon, November B.—Prices show an average rise of Id to lid compared with opening rates of present series. Prices are as high as in February
