The steamer Waitaki returned from -Onmam at sp.m.tm Saturday, and passed the pert to Duucdiu. '1 he steamers Express, for the Bluff, and Taiaroa, for Timaru, sailed yesterday. The schooner Bosanna Eose, with cargo for Picton, sailed yesterday morning. Th-> steamers Wanganui, from the Bluff, and Sha™, from Shag Point, arrived yesterday. The schooner Isabella Anderson, with a full cargo of timber from the Bluff, arrived yesterday afternoon. She left the Blnff on Saturday, and had S.W. winds along the cost to arrival. The ship Invereargill, having been cleaned and her bottom re coated, was taken out of the graTin;? dock this morcing-. The barqueutine Penola. with part of original cargo from New York for Wellington, took her departure thiß morning, and was towed olear of the land by the steamer Samson.

AEEIVAL OF THE SHIP DUNEDIN,

Messrs Patrick Henderson and Co.'s ship Dnnedin, which has been detained outside the Heads through tho late boisterous weather since t!ie evening of the 15th inst., was towed up yesterday afternoon by the steamers Geelong and Sumgon. Qn reaching the cross ohannel she was mtst by the Customs steam launch, having on bnard Captain Thomsoa, the health officer 5 Mr J. E. Monson, of the Customs Department; and Dr. Dryßdale. medical officer of the Board of Health. TJpoa ranging alongside the Dunedin the usual questions relative to the health of the passengers were put, and the replies given bytheSurgeon-Superintendentnofc being satisfactory, the yellow flag was ordered to be hoisted at the main, and the Duneiiin came to anchor in the Quarantine Ground. The steam launch then returned to Port with the way-bill, from which we were supplied with the following intelligence : Measles Broke out amongst the children on September 1, attacking altogether forty persons and causing four deaths, viz.. A- ehibald Graham, 4 years j W ichael Fleming, 5 years; Jessie Wright, 13 months; and Bath sheba Grey, 37 years, There have been si? deaths from other causes:—Caroline Cumming, 11 mouths, meningitis; Nelly Boss, 18 months, convulsions; John Grey, 6 years, pneumonia: Lawrence Grey, 14 months, bronchial pneumonia; Elizabeth Boss, 1? months, phthisis; Mrs M'Gaw, heart disease. M'Lean and Campbell, Mesdames Grey, Moody, Nichols, and Harper, Messrs Scanlan, Hirper, Nichols, Anderson, Lynn, Jones, Biickley; eighteen and ten tons of cargo.

Wellington, November 20.—The Ladybird sailed South at 3 i .m. Passengers: Messrs J. E. MitoUrll, Browu, M'lvor, Moore, Benticol, Mr and Mrs Evans, and two children.
