The choir, considerably was under the leadership of Mr X C. Thomson, the harmonium, Addresses Were delrMMd by the Chairman, tfcfc <R$wJ: Cfeisholm, the RevL Dr Rosebyl the Rev. Mr Watt, and"/ abort speeches were made, by Messrs Wy;!N: Bj&gr; teiffifflffi of the Btrilding/Committee), Geo. Hepbu l^ ,J, .sargil} ? R.' A. Lawson and John Hislop. Mr Blair, on behalf of the Building Committee;' presented Dr Stuart _with. a gold&T*"key, manufactured by Mr Yourig, Princes street, and bearing the following inscription:-—" Knox Church, h r .NoVember,' 1876. D. M. .tifte Building Committee." In noting the presentation, Mr Blair said, "j wish that you may be long spared to occupy its jrajnit, and be the main-spring..in the machinery that makes Knox Church a national institution for the diffusion of good.
