THE VOLUNTEER REVIEW.
, To the Editor Sir,—l should like, through the medium of to bring, under .the no!'ice 0 f the au' hbrities, the desirability of allowing volunteers in uniform to travel to the; scene of the “Review,” by the afternoon trains on the Bth/of! November, so that they may be on the spot in good time to make any necessary arrangements for the next day. If it is not tbo late, I should suggest that,: If possible, the encampment be kept up until Saturday night, as there are nuinbers in ali thp companies who could get away for that time, as it is only a matter of a day and a half to those who get the Saturday hplf-holiday, and it would be the means of giving the men & thorough outing, and an insight into “ life under canvas ” at the same time.—l am, &c., Shot. Dunedin, October 30.
