AMUSEMENTS.

Clifford's " Mirror of the "World" was brought to a close at the Temperance Hall on Saturday evening.

At the Princess's on Saturday evening " The Will and the Way" waa produced to a capital downstairs attendance. As Old Martin Sir Dampier achieved another success, his action in representing the manner in which his master was murdered being especially good. " Faust and Margueriette" is to be represented to-night, and in it Mr Dampier appea> a in one of his favorite characters.

There was a good downstairs attendanse at the Queen's on Saturday night, but it was not so numerous as the merits of the performance deserved, taken is a whole. " Martha" was most satisfactorily given. As Lady Harriett and Nancy respectively Madame and Miss Lambert have parts in which they i-eemcd to revel; and their efforts were ably seconded by Messrs Morley, Barrington, and Hodgson. Indeed the same may be sail, of orchestra and chorus, each of which did its work admirably. Madame's "Last Hose of Summer" was vociferously encored, and in " Coming Through the Bye" she pleased the audience se much that they were only content with the repetition of the last verse. Mr Morley gained a deserved encore for "She appeared," which he sang with much taste; and the grand finale to the third act was so spiritedly sung that we should not have regretted hearing it a third time. To-night " Maritana " will be given.
