AMUSEMENTS.

A double bill was produced at the Piinoesß*s Theatre ou Saturday night, the " Colleen Bawn " and the " Octoroon " constituting the programme. In the first piece (of which two acts were given) Mr Dampier appeared as Myles-na-Copalleen, and although nat cast for a congenial part he exhibited a considerable ra dness at times. Mr Clinton played wall as Cregan, and Mr Howe made a respcctablo Father Tom. In "The Octoroon" Mr Dampier only sustained a second-rate part as tlie Indian, bub so faithfully did he represent the character, and so ably was his grief depicted on learning of Paul's death, that, after the first act, the interest was mainly centred in this character. Mr Steele played well as Salem Scudder, and Mr Keogh distinguished himself as M'Closky. Mrs Hill pave a very fair representation of Zoe, nnd Miss May made a pleasing Dora Snnnyside. For to-nigb> another big bill will be given, " Grimaldi" and "Our Em'ly" constituting the programme. Clifford's " Mirror of the "World" again attracted a large audience. A number of new views will be exhibited to-night. Owing to the postponement of the Arawata's departure from Lytteltbn, the Opera Company will not bo able to open here till Wednesday night.
