A CORRECTION.

To the Editor, Snt, —In your issue of Saturday you had a local announcing the death of a man named Thomas Borrows, from excessive drinking. I wish to contradict this. He had been in my employ for several years, and at the time of his death, and for months before, was a staunch teetotaller. By inserting the above you will greatly oblige.—l am, &c. Wm. Sinclair, Tailor. Princes street, October 23. [We have received letters from three or four persons, of undoubted respectability, but as they merely corroborate Mr Sinclair, with the correctness of whose statement we think. the public will be equally satisfied with ourselves, we have not thought it necessary to publish them.—Ed. * E. S.’]
