AMUSEMENTS.
The performance of the previous evening was repeated at the Princess’s last night, a great deal ot the objectionable matter in “ Good for Evil ” being excised. Another novelty will be presented to-night ~ Our Emily,” a new dramatic version of “ David Copporfield." Hie piece had a very lengthened run when originally produced in England, and as Mr Dampier has a congenial part in Peggotty, the performance should prove a success. The exhibition st the Temperance Hall last evening by Clifford’s “ Mirror of the World ” comprised views of the Thames from Cleveden to London, and these were shown to a large and appreciative audienoe. Those who have not seen this novel entertainment should not neglect the opportunity of doing so. The anniversary of the Loyal Albion Lodge. M.U.1.0.0.P., was celebrated by a hall last night in st ; George’s Hall. The room was tastefully decorated with flags, evergreens, and banners, and presentedj a picturesque appearance. About sixty or eighty couples were present. The music was supplied by an excellent string baud. We must congratulate th.6 committee on their endeavors to make the ball what it was—a thorough success.
