The monthly immigration return for September shows that the number of immigrants from the United Kingdom, New South Wales, Sa". Francis o, and Victoria was 452; while those who left during the same period was 112. leaving a balance of 340 persons in favor of tho Province.

Wool.—By i private telegram, dated London, September 15, Liverpool sales went off at better prices, thus giving a more assured character to (he recovered t no of the close of tho Inst Loudon sales. Tina information is very important to wool growers, apparently of too much importance to be noticed by Uio public telegrams. Sheepskins. At, our sale this afternoon biddings were brisk, full prices being obtained. Green cross-breds. 4s 5d to 5a ; merinos, Ssßd to 3s lid; dry cross-breds, 3a 9d to 4s 3d; merinos, 2s 4d to 3s 4d.

Hinas,—Small supply. No alteration in prices, Wet salted sold 3)d ; greor, 16 to 18s 9d. Tallow. —None offered.

Grain,—Wheat is very firm and soiree at 5s 6,1 to 6s. Oats have come forward more freely, hut rea-’ily picked up at 2a 2d to 2s 3d for good to heavy feed. Barley, prime mailing, sells at Is 6d; whilst ordinary descriptions, which were selling at is, are quite neglected. Good milling is saleable at 2s 9d.
