He was prescribed for by Dr Murphy, who ordered him a draught containing chloral hydrat to produce sleep. He afterwards got another bottle, holding sixteen doses, three of which she administered to him. The other thirteen ho is supposed to have taken at once. He was found dead in his bed on Saturday morning It was stated by Dr. Murphy that deceased was suffering from heart disease, and the chloral was, in his opinion, the cause of death. The thirteen spoonfuls he had taken in one dose would cause the death of any versop. A, verdict to the effect that de utvseq died from an overdose of chloral while in a state of ill-health, ovc-impanied by delirium, was returned. It wge.remarked by some of the jury that reasonable core was scarcely taken in trusting such a poison whhin the reach of a delirious man
