THE KUMARA RUSH.
By the Mary King, which cleared at the Customs yesterday, twenty-five passengers have shipped for the above. From private telegrams which were received in town la3t evening, we learn that the ground at the Kumara is turning out wonderfully well. The lead is about two chains wide, and has been traced a distance of four miles. The sinking is from 16ft to 80ft, and the stuff yields from Bdwts to 19dwts to the load. At the request of one of our subscribers we telegraphed yesterday to our contemporary the ' Grey River Argus,' to inquire as to the demand for horses on the field, and are in receipt of the following reply:~ "So far as we can leatn pack-horses are not in demand, but ordinary light harness horses are."— *N. 0.
