A REPLY TO "ARGUS,"
: To,t/ie Editor. Sir, —In reply to .“Argus,” who suggests that Mr Macandrew should call his Executive together with a view of taking a plebiscite of the electors, to the result of which “Argus” “ventures to think the: utmost respect would be paid by the powers that be,” let me point out that both Sir George Grey and Mr Macandrew have repeatedly asked in the House that it should be left/to the l inhabitants of the various Provinces to decide, by means of a plebiscite, upon their future form of government, and that the Ministry have invariably refused the request.—l am, &c., , Constitutionalist. Dunedin, September 22.
