Melbourne, September 20. During the voyage of the Thomas Bell from London she met with very severe weather. The stock and fresh water were destroyed, and the cargo was broached till rain water was obtained.
September 21. Arrived: Albion from New Zealand, and Durham from London, after a passage of fifty days. Resolutions in favor of opening the Athenseum were negatived. Brisbane, September 21. Elizabeth Lancefield, charged with poisoning her husband, was acquitted.
