IN' Pursuance of “The Regulation of Elec* tions Act,” 1870, I, Archibald Reid Ure, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Peninsula, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the 9th day of September, 1876, under the Public Seal of the Province .of Otago, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Anderson’s Bay, at noon, on the 20th day of September, 1876, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken on the 25th day of September, 1876.
