THE D.Y.M.C.A. REPORT.

To the E'-itot. Sir,- In a pamphlet just put into my bands, entitled "The Success of Prohibition, "&c, I find on page 14, that "unfriendly gossip has been caused by the said omission of the balance-sheet from the report just issued." The professed ignorance of the writer does not in the least astonish me, but it might, perhaps, be as weU to inform the general public that page 18 of the report shows the balance-sheet with the itemized account of the past year's receipts and ex penditnre. I shall hope to see an ample apology from the writer for his misstatement.—l am, &c, William Tnqlis, Secretary D.Y.M.O.A. Dnnedin, September 7.
