The foUowingare the. new clauses moved by Mr Waterhouse, for insertionln the Land Transfer Act Amendment Bill:

No contribution shall be payable >to assurance fund upon .first .bringing laud under the said Act bv giant £rom toeOown, nor upon first bringing land under the said Act,~upon application of the proprietor thereof, if in such last mentioned case it shall appear to the District Land Registrar and Examiner of! Titles for the district within which such land is situated, that the npplicantproprietor is the original grantee from.the Crown, and that no sale, contract, mortgage, incumbrance, bt■'other transaction affecting the title of lauoh applicant proprietor has been at anytime registered. Tho provisions of the Conveyancing Ordinance Amendment Act, 1860, and of the Bates- by; Jttortgages Act, 1870, shall not extend er apply te mortgages created, or to be created, under the provisions of the said Act. •"' -o ; . t .rc-a
