Bluff, August 24. The Ringarooma arrived at ten o’clock last night, having left Melbourne at 2,15 p.m, on the 19th. She had fine weather throughout, and brings 159 tons of cargo, twenty-five saloon and fourteen steerage passengers. She sails for iDunedin at 4 p.m. Passengers for Dumdin : Mrs Jones and family, Miss M‘Laron, Rev. J. Stone, Messrs Ireland, Kempthome, Conyers, Corsan, Alcoek, Berlinta, Magerdire, Mr and Mrs Coyle, and forty,three tons of cargo.
Wellington, August 24. A man named M. 'ac. bs, recently from Melbourne vm _ Dunedin. b&a selling pens here at a high price, alleging them to be of superior quality, as patent aluminium, but
on being tested they have been found to be nothing but common steel pens.' The Go vehement were about to purchase a large quantity, but of course the order is now countermanded. Jaopbs has been warned by the police, and to those who have purchased hih pens he is now handing their money back.
