The Mary King was signalled at the Heads this forenoon. A harqne and three-masted schooner passed the Heads this morning hound South. A barque bound North passed the Heads this forenoon. The schooner Mary King, with a cargo of timber, from the Bluff, was towed up this forenoon bv the p.s. Iron Age. J The Union Co.’s s.s, Taiaroa, with cargo and passengers for Timar i, sailed last evening. The p.s. Lioness steamed down from Dunedin last evening for the purpose of hj ving her compasses adjusted, and will leave to-morrow for Hokitika. The s.s. .Maori, having transhipped her cargo of gram to the s.s. Hawea, steamed to the head of tbe floating dock yesterday afternoon, in readiness to be taken in for her periodical overhaul as soon as the p.s. Comoraug is hauled out. The schooner Janet Ramsey, in ballast from Oauiaru, via Moeraki, arrived yesterday after noon. J The French barque Madeline, in ballast for New. casule, was towed to sea yesterday afternoon by tho tu ? Geelong. J The s.s. Shag, for Sling Point and Moeraki steamed down from Dunedm last night, but owinJ to the heavy sea along Iho Const her departure was postponed until the weather moderates. The Union Co.’s steamer Beautiful Star returned frem Kakanni last evening, and steamed alongside the cross-jetty to discharge part, of her original cargo of limber from the Bluff. Owing to the heavy sea at Kaiauui she was unable to take in cargo. The s.s. Matau, with cargo and passengers for Wellington, via Oamarnand Lyttelton, took her departure last evening from tho railway pier. Messrs M’Meckan, Blackwood's s.s. Alhamhia from Melbourne, via West Const and Northern Forts, arrived yesterday afternoon. She left Me’bourne nt 2.15 p.m. on tbe 10tb, and arrived off Hokitika at 10.20 p.m. on the 15th; discharged cargo and left again nest morning. Called at Grovmouth. Nelson, Wellington, and Lyttelton, whit-h latter port she left at 4 p.m. on the 21st, arriving asabove. We thank Mr Gibbons (purser) for report and exchanges.
