THE DUNEDIN POULTRY ASSOCIATION.

To the Editor, Bm,--Having seen by advertissraont in your issue of to-night a meeting of the poultry fanciers dissatisfied with the rules of the Dunedin Poultry Association, to be held in Wain’s Hotel on Thursday, I am glad to see someone in the same mind' as mys -lf, and I think it is a step in the right direction. I must say, for my own part, I feel dissatisfied and any of the committee that I have conversed with seem to know nothing of who was the cause of the change, although their names w-ere on the committee. Now it is my opinion it must be some new knowing member of committee that has something good imported, who must have had so much to say at the meetings to cause them to alter their standard iso abruptly to suit himself. He could not possibly have bred them to the new standard in so short a time, unless his chickens fledge quicker than any other breeders’ in the society, it is to be hoped this mistake will be seen by the old members in power before the new society goes any further, I should not like to see D.P. A. anything but a success; at the same time give us country members the same' chance to exhibit our stock as the would-be knowing ones.
