A QUERY.
To the Editor. Sir,— Noticing in the Stab this evening an advertisement to form an Otago Poultry Association with a Wm, Sly, secretary pro tern, I would ask if this is the same Mr Wm. Sly who was lately connected with the Richardson Fusiliers, was once a prominent member of the Dunedin Poultry Association, and yho can- only with others, at the eleventh hour, be trying to throw cold water on those whose only object,' possibly, can be to improve the breed of poultry ? If be and his friends have this object in view, why not assist the society in existence, without showing the ill-feeling which apparently exists ? —I am, &c,, An Inquirer. Dunedin, August 16.:
