THE CHORAL SOCIETY.
To the Editor. St»> —ln tue 'Guardian ' of the 9th I read the following :—" We haro boon refloated to state teat a rehearsal of tho Duuedin Choral Society will lake pla-.-e to-morrow evening at St. Paul's scLo-proon-i," etc. I understood theror-y that Thursday evening wn/< ihe appointed time. in ii;o 'Otago Daily Times' of: this* morning I read the'following paragraph -.—"The "Choral .Society hold another successful practice in St. Paul's schoolhouso last evening." Honestly speaking, docs cither the conductor or the.secretary look for- success when, through, their instrumentality, they play, the fool with .the Society's meiubcis ? This is now by ho means the first time, nor do I expect it to bo the last, "so that I, to prevent; a. repetition personally, beg to resign my small hold upon such a constantly incon-. stent.-fellowship- as that of tho Dunedin Choral Society.—l am, &o ,
