To the Editor. Sir, —Our attention has been called to a paragraph in your issue of yesterday, copied from the • Tuapeka Times,' to the effect that Mr J. W. Clark is in treaty to purchase our Teviot runs. We beg to state that there is not the slightest shadow of foundation for the above statement. We should have thought you would, from recent experience, have been spmewhat shy of copying canards from that highly imaginative journal. - We are, &£., ....; .
