SUPPOSED SUICIDE.
Robert Roberta, horse-dealer and wood and coal merchant, residing at the corner of Union and Cumberland streets, was found dead this morning in a hay-loft adjoining his premises. From the information we have received there seems to be no doubt but that the deceased committed suicide.
It appears that the furious gale which prevailed during last night caused a Happing of the door of Roberts's hay-loft, and early this morning he remarked that he would go out and try and remedy it. The prolonged absence of deceased led to his son making a search, when the former was found lying dead in the loft. A bottle contiining the dregs of a poisonous liquid, and another bottle with brandy in it, were found alongside of him. An inquest will probably take place to-morrow.
