The brigautine Eesolution was towed to Dunedin yesterday afternoon by the tup Geelong. The ship City of Cnshmore, eighty-five davs from Glasgow, was signalled at the Heads early this morning, with loss of main topsail yard. Owing to the hoavy tf.W. breeze the tug Geelong did not proceed down. The sbip Obeion, in ballast for San Francisco, took her departure this morning, being towed clear of the la.nd by the tusr Geelong. Tho Easby has been detained at Wellington owing ,jj»the heavy southerly gale blowing there. She w2t probably leave this evening, as the weather is now moderating. The Hokitika bar is in so bad a state (hat Messrs N. Edwards and Co., the owners of the Anchor line of steamers, have been compelled to decide not to book passengers are fhip cargo for that port until some impiovement is reported.
