The report, as already, telegraphed,' was unanimously adopted. The Chairman said the dividend of 8 per cent, provided for in the'report would be payable at all offices of the company in the Colony fin Wednesday next. The chairman, in reply to a question, said the profits for the year had been equal to 22£ per cent, on the paid up capital; that there was L 68,523» due on five ships, but eight were unencumbered; that he was almost positive that it would not be necessary to call up further capital, but that if more capital was required the directors would use the power given them to issue debentures, and shareholders would be consulted before more calls were made. It was expected that the three ships how building would enable the company to carry on till the next annual meeting without chartering any vessels. Thefollpwing gentlemen were re-elected directors': ■Mr J. L. Campbell, Auckland.; Mr'J. Johnston, Wellington; Messrs W. Reeves, S. S. Revans, J. Studholme,, and O. W, Canterbury. Hie meetingwas very unanimous, and evidently well pleased with the state of the company’s affairs.-
