BALCLUTHA COUNCIL NOMINATION.
[By Telegraph.] (From our mm Correspondent) ’ Balclutha, July 24. The .following is the result of to-day’s noruination of Councillors For South Ward Mr Dunne was returned. There were three candidates for this ward, but two retired in favor of Mr Dunne, in consequence of his exposure of the alleged disfranching the citizens. For East IVard, Mr Doull was returned. For North Ward Messrs Cramond and Stanbrook were nominated. The Mayor (Mr Cramond) and Mr Fiemmg, of the ‘ Olutha Leader,’ were hooted and roughly handled by the citizens.
