MAILS CLOSE. Xl-MARTT, LnTELTON, CHRISTCHURCH. AND WlCSTland. Per Taiaroa, on Friday, July 21, at 3.20 p.m. Tixaru, Akaeoa, Lyttelton, Christchurch, and Westland.—Per Ladybird, on Friday, July 2i, at 4.20 p.m. Northern Poets or New Zealand.—Per Taupo, on Saturday, July 22, at 1.50 p.m. A Post Office has been opened at Warrington, between Blueskiu and Beacousfleld. Mails will be despatched from Dunedin daily, at 6 a.m., and will arrive daily at 4.45 p.m. British and other mails, via San Francisco, will close at this office on the 26th inst. Note.—Postage on letters for the United Kingdom (via Brindisi) has been reduced to 8d per haif ounce. Newspapers under four ounces in weight, 2d. Posiago on letters for South Sea Islands, viz., Friendly, Cook, Austral (Tubuai), Norfolk, Phoenix, Solomon and Fiji Islands, New Caledonia, New Hebrides, and Samoa has been reduced to 2d per half ounce.
