Passengers: From Bluff— Mrs Chalmers, Eev. Mr Higgins, Messrs Bain, Calder, Watson, Holmes, Deck. Prom Melbourne —Mr and Mrs Lingard and two children, Mr and Mrs Bailey, Miss S. Bryant, Messrs Donnell, Sutherland, Dalgety, Baker, Verner, G. Gardner, D. Gardner, and eleven in the steerage. Beautiful Star, s.s., 146 tons, Peterson, from Lyttelton, via Timaru.

Dr Stuart, Messrs Larson, Douglas, Mackay, Weir, Jacison, "Warwock, and two in the steerage. For Melbourne— Mesdames Strong, J. Strong, Musgrove, Master Strong, Mr Musgrove, and fifteen in the steerage.
The brig Isabella, for Newcastle, was towed to sea yesterday afternoon by the s 8. Jane. The barque Argosy was removed from the stream to the new pier this morning to discharge her cargo of sugar. The p.s. Samson took her departure for Oamaxn this morning. The Union Company's steamer Beautiful Star, from Lyttelton, via Timaru, arrived this morning, nnd steamed alongside the s.s. Bingarooma to discharge 1,084 bags of grain. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood's s.s. Otago, with 32 passengers and 80 tons of cargo for this port, arrived alongside the new pier a( five this morning from Melbourne, via the Bluff. She left Melbourne at 2.30 p.m. on the sth. and cleared the Heads at 4.30 p.m.; passed Swan Island at 2 p.m. on the 6th ; experienced light winds and fine weather to arrival at the Bluff at 10 a.m. on the 10th; left again at 5 p.m. same day, and arrived as above. "We thank Mr Birch (purser) for report and exchanges. The ship Coralie, from Glaßgow, was signalled at the Heads this forenoon.' The tug Geelong proceeded down, and will tow her up to her anchorage this evening.
