\ Sydney, July 7.
News via Noumea reports that a labor vessel named the May Queen ran ashore on an island at Tanna. The crew fired on the natives who attacked and burnt the vessel, and killed the crew.
The Adelaide immigrant ship Lightning went ashore at, Towbridge in broad daylight, and w&en under full sail. A tug has gcjue out to her rescue.
v July 8. It is reported'that SuDivan has been seen at Gouldbourn.
Melbourne, July 7. Messrs Stevenson refuse to produce their original invoices, atad hold the Government responsible far any loss.

§Adelaidce, July 7. The Gettwood, it is supposed, went ashore a fortnight back in a. gale. She was long overdue, and vras wrecked near where the Admiral lost. A large amount of cargo is 'supposed to have been stolen. The cargo was insured in various offices, including the National of New Zealand* which held insurances of from L 3,000 to L 4,000. July 8. The immigrants by the* Lightning were landed safely. They liad had no food since Wednesday last. They report that the ship is safe, lint that she has water in her fore compartment.
