The Taupo had not reached the Heads when we went to press at 5 o'clock. The Arawata will remain at the Heads till 7 to transfer her mails.

The p.s. Comerang returned from her usual trip to Southern ports at 1 a.m. yesterday, and steamed past the Port to Dunedin.

The new p.s. Iron Age made a trip down the harbor yesterday afternoon. After a short stay at the Port she steamed back to Dunedin. The s.s. Shag sailed last night for Shag Point. fhe s.s. Easby is rapidly discharging her coals at the new pier, and is advertised to leave for Sydney and Newcastle to-morrow.

The steamers Wellington for Timaru, Afcaroa. and Lyttelton, and the Taiaroa, for Timaru, will sail this evening. The barque Woodville was taken out of the Graving Dock yesterday afternoon. While in dock, she was stripped, caulked, and re-coppered, and thoroughly overhauled.

The p.s. Samson sailed this morning for her usual trip to Oamaru.
