Sydney, July 3.
Michael Connor, a man locked up for lunacy, at Warrabi, rushed his keeper, seized the latter'a revolver, and shot himself dead.
News from Hodgkinson River reports that the reefs are increasing in richness. .
The cable steamer Edinburgh started yesterday from Port Darwin for the spot wbere the cable is broken. Communication will probably be established to-night or to-morrow. ■
